Galerie Claire Gastaud
The Claire Gastaud Gallery unfolds across three major locations. In Paris, a space is dedicated to curatorial projects, regularly offering “Carte Blanche” invitations to international artists and curators. It is located on rue Chapon, in the Marais district, near the Centre Pompidou. In Clermont-Ferrand, its emblematic site—active since 1986—is situated opposite the FRAC Auvergne, between the Ministry of Culture and the Cathedral. It hosts museum-scale exhibitions and includes an underground space, regularly made available to artists for performances, gatherings, and site-specific creations. Finally, at the Château de la Trémolière in the Cantal region, the gallery organizes a monographic exhibition each summer and hosts artists in residence.
Recognized for its work with artists, art professionals, collectors, and institutions, the Claire Gastaud Gallery offers a program that encourages dialogue across generations, mediums, and nationalities. Its commitment to artists takes multiple forms, operating within an organic network for the dissemination of contemporary art, with particular attention given to women artists, including Tania Mouraud (1942), MC Mitout (1961), Henni Alftan (1979), Natacha Lesueur (1971), and Milène Sanchez (1997).
The Claire Gastaud Gallery regularly participates in major international contemporary art fairs such as Art Brussels, Art Genève, Art Antwerp, Paris Photo, Art Paris, and Drawing Now. It is a member of the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art, the Paris Gallery Map, and holds the title of Officier des Arts et des Lettres.
