Galerie Minsky

Galerie Minsky, created in 1998 by Arlette Souhami, represents Leonor Fini in close collaboration with the artist’s Estate. It contributes to the French and international influence of her work by participating in museum events or through other galleries, mainly through loans.

Before creating Galerie Minsky, Arlette Souhami directed Galerie Dionne, which she also founded. She exhibited there, among others, Roberto Matta, Julio Le Parc, Eduardo Arroyo and Leonor Fini, whom she has presented as an official dealer since the 1980s.

A key supporter of events such as the exhibition “Surrealism” at the Centre Pompidou (2024-2025) or the retrospective “I am Leonor Fini” at the Palazzo Reale in Milan, Galerie Minsky is also behind several recent surrealist shows dedicated to the public of international fairs (Art Basel Miami, Leonor Fini, 2023; Frieze Masters London, Leonor Fini and Stanislao Lepri, 2024).

The gallery’s operation is unique in that it is based above all on cooperation with other galleries and institutions, as well as on a significant effort to collect Leonor Fini’s paintings, taking advantage of her long-standing relationship with collectors of her work.

At the same time, the gallery is committed to representing several artists from the modern and contemporary scene such as Pierre Roy, Antoni Clavé, Henri-Jean Closon, Karen Swami, Yuri Kuper, Anna-Maria Tsakali, Edouard Sacaillan and Patrick Rimoux (selection).
