Zander Galerie Paris

Founded in 1996 in Cologne, Zander Galerie has established itself as a reference in the fields of photography and contemporary art. Its exhibition program highlights artists who explore these mediums within a broader contemporary art context, drawing inspiration from Walker Evans’ documentary style.

The opening of a new space in Paris in 2023 marks a significant milestone in the gallery’s expansion. Located in the heart of the iconic Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, Zander Galerie Paris continues its mission of promoting photography and contemporary art through a rigorous and diverse program. Its intimate exhibition space offers a privileged setting for visitors to immerse themselves in the artists’ works.

Representing major artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, the gallery showcases influential figures in documentary photography such as Diane Arbus, Lee Friedlander, Garry Winogrand, Robert Adams, Henry Wessel, and Robert Frank. It also features contemporary artists like Mitch Epstein, Max Regenberg, Judith Joy Ross, Candida Höfer, Anthony Hernandez, and Tod Papageorge. Zander Galerie is particularly proud to represent the Estate of Helen Levitt.

At the same time, the gallery is committed to highlighting artistic practices that push the boundaries of photography by incorporating conceptual and multimedia elements.
