Partenaire du CPGA dans l’exportation de la scène française
Provided for the first time in 1997, the public subsidy granted to galleries participating in a foreign fair has gone through the years, its budget fluctuating according to the organization in charge of its payment. Recovered by the Ministry of Culture via the CNAP in 2017, this support meets a growing need of galleries, due to the increase in the financial burden. On the one hand, the average costs of renting stands have increased sharply and on the other hand the unavoidable character of fairs in the economy of galleries tends to induce an increase in the number of events attended each year.
This aid to fairs is part of a set of devices, intended for contemporary art galleries installed in France, in order to support their various production and distribution actions as well as the deployment of their activity internationally.
