Galerie Arnaud Lefebvre
The Arnaud Lefebvre Gallery began its activities in 1986.
The period 1990-2010 was influenced by minimal art, with the first exhibition of Carl Andre’s poetry ever organized in France. It has also done work to recognize the sculpture of Rosemarie Castoro, as well as the multi-media work of Robert Huot through numerous solo and group exhibitions. Several historical artists of minimal and conceptual art have been exhibited such as Lawrence Weiner, Mel Bochner, Daniel Buren, Niele Toroni, Claude Rutault.
Various exhibitions based on performance have taken place: the “Voice” exhibition, the Erik Satie exhibition, the cycle of “Portraits of Artists” exhibitions, or the three “Turtle” exhibitions around the figure of Michael Shamberg.
Since 2010, the gallery has turned to diverse forms of expression and has devoted a large part of its programming to women artists, including Etel Adnan, Nicole Brossard, Nicole Hassler, Katy Martin, Maria Morganti, Judith Nelson, Diana Quinby. More recently, the gallery has undertaken an in-depth recognition of the embroidery of the Caribbean artist Hessie, representing her work and managing the hessie.fr website.
