Galerie Gaïa is founded in 2015 by Elisabeth Givre. It’s a place that questions and redefines contemporary art in perpetual evolution. It makes eclectic and ambitious choices. The gallery breaks down barriers forcing us to think about contemporary art and those involved in it in a new and multifaceted way.
The abstraction at the heart of the selection also makes way for more figurative works. Lines, strokes and architecture are the main threads running through the selection.
With 7 exhibitions a year and a presence at art fairs, it is essential that there are breaks and big differences from one exhibition to the next. Each artist is defended for his or her singularity!
The Gaïa Gallery makes its reserves accessible, with over 700 works. Paintings, sculptures, prints and photographs are all listed in the online catalogue.
In 2022, Inès Ben Brahim joined the gallery with her expertise. She holds a double master’s degree in “Art History & Art Criticism”.
Her experience at the Estuaire Nantes-Saint Nazaire contemporary art biennial, has enabled the gallery to consolidate its artistic project activity. Galerie Gaïa Studio works with private and public organisations, offering a selection of artists for architects and property developers who have signed up to the 1 Immeuble 1 œuvre charter. What sets us apart is that we integrate into the process a design office specialising in art and architecture.
Consultancy is an important activity for companies looking for a unique social commitment, or for foundations to build up their collections. In 2023, for example, the B Signature hotel group has entrusted us with the creation of a contemporary art prize worth €10,000 and a gallery exhibition for the winner.
