Our galeries
Galerie LJ
Starting Sunday 2023
"Llenos de Todo" ("Full of Everything") is the first solo exhibition in Paris by Argentinian painter Martin Kazanietz (b. 1985). Originally from Buenos Aires, he lives in Viedma, Patagonia. After studying graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires, he pursued a career as a muralist and illustrator before devoting himself fully to painting.
Kazanietz has devoted several years of his practice to the culture of amateur fútbol. Resembling outsider Botero characters from the street, his figures are not the emblematic stars or legends of the game. Instead, his works represent typical Argentine scenes, peppered with details and particular elements that bear witness to a culture typical of the streets of South America."
Founded and directed by Adeline Jeudy and Claude Lemarié in 2007, Galerie LJ is located in the centre of Paris, in the area called “Le Marais”. The gallery’s programme focuses on emerging graphic artists and contemporary painters and sculptors, who examine contemporary society through the lens of figuration and narration.
Since 2007, Galerie LJ has had the opportunity to introduce artists little or not yet known in France to the local collectors, and to support their international career through exhibitions at the gallery, art fairs, as well as in museums and private foundations, and publications.
