On Friday 13 October 2023, Galerie Poggi will inaugurate its new 600m2 space on the forecourt of the Centre Pompidou, at 135 rue Saint-Martin (Paris 4th arrondissement), on the eve of Paris Art Week, which will be marked by the second edition of Paris + by Art Basel.
The gallery will open this new chapter in its history with a major group show symbolically entitled "La Première Pierre", bringing together contemporary and modern art, with a number of rare works of ancient and prehistoric art.

The Galerie Jérôme Poggi conducts a work of prospection oriented as much towards young contemporary creation as towards more established, even historical figures, whose recognition process it supports in the economic, critical and historical spheres.
The gallery was founded in 2009 by the critic and art historian Jérôme Poggi, associated at the beginning with Peter Bertoux. Originally located in the Gare du Nord district of Paris, it opened a new space in the Marais district of Paris in spring 2014. Located across from the Centre Pompidou, this new 150 m2 space is now the gallery’s main address where public exhibitions are presented.
Jérôme Poggi also directs the structure Objet de production, a non-profit association whose vocation is to bring out and promote all forms of art within our society, both in the public and private space, notably through commissions within the framework of the “New Sponsors” action initiated by the Fondation de France.
