Galleria Continua is a contemporary art gallery founded in 1990 in San Gimignano by three friends: Mario Cristiani, Lorenzo Fiaschi and Maurizio Rigillo.
True to its spirit of perpetual evolution and determined to bring contemporary art to a wide audience, Galleria Continua has developed around two fundamental values: generosity and altruism, the basis for numerous artistic collaborations. Galleria Continua represents a desire for continuity between eras and a willingness to write a current history. Sensitive to contemporary creation, the gallery wants to nourish the link between past and future, individuals and different geographies.
Thanks to its investment in forgotten and unconventional sites, the gallery has always chosen atypical places, developing in more than thirty years of activity a strong identity and an original positioning. After its first gallery in an old cinema in San Gimignano, it was the first foreign gallery with an international catalog to open in China in 2004.
In 2007, Galleria Continua opened Les Moulins, in a former paper mill in eastern Paris. In 2015 it also moved to Havana, in a former cinema-theater and in 2020 it opened an exhibition space in Rome, inside the St. Regis Hotel, and another in Brazil, in the Pacaembu sports complex. In 2021, Galleria Continua arrived in the heart of the French capital. This unconventional space is dedicated to experimentation and the encounter between art, society and culture, in a constantly evolving setting. A new exhibition space opened inside the most iconic hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in Dubai.
