Peter Freeman, Inc.
Founded in 1990, Peter Freeman, Inc. represents leading international artists as well as major estates from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries.
The gallery organizes at least five exhibitions per year, devoted to works it considers particularly relevant to the art of our time. Solo exhibitions highlight the richness of artists’ responses to contemporary materials, forces, and issues. Group exhibitions explore the movements, themes, and ideas that continue to shape and define our culture. The historical works presented over the past thirty years have often been distinguished by their rarity and significance.
In 2006, Peter Freeman partnered with Galerie Nelson, leading to the creation of what would become Peter Freeman, Inc., Paris in 2013. In both New York and Paris, the gallery has consistently placed historically significant works in dialogue with more recent creations. This approach explains the importance it places on close collaborations with museum institutions.
After being located for two decades on rue Quincampoix in the 4th arrondissement, the gallery moved in 2025 to 7, rue de Montpensier in the 1st arrondissement, near the Palais-Royal.
